Michele Carey, known by her birth name Michele Lee Henson, born in Annapolis, Maryland, United States of America she is the daughter of Stanley Willard Henson, Jr, physician, a Thelma Brennell Henson. She had a prodigious piano playing as a teenager and she took home the national prize in the Chicago Music Festival at just thirteen years old. The family settled within Fort Collins, Colorado with her family and had her secondary education through Fort Collins High School where she graduated in 1960.
